Shockwave, also known as Frank Shockley, is a Marvel Comics supervillain. He is a brilliant scientist specializing in seismology, known for his mastery over vibrations and shockwaves.
Originally a student and assistant to Dr. Curt Connors (the Lizard), Shockley became obsessed with harnessing the power of vibrations. He believed he could utilize seismic energy for technological advancements and potentially weaponize it. His experiments eventually led to an accident that transformed him into Shockwave.
The accident granted him the ability to generate and manipulate powerful shockwaves, allowing him to create earthquakes, shatter objects, and project concussive blasts. He often utilizes specialized gauntlets to better control and amplify his powers.
